Black Drum Delaware Bay
With the approaching full moon, there were reports of a great black drum bite with pictures to prove it on the Delaware Bay the last few days. Some of the crew hooked up with Capt John of the Hooked Up II to get some advice on the location he had released 14 drum the day before.
Unfortunately, the fish were not biting in the time frame fished! We heard from friends that the bite turned out around 9:00 PM of the outgoing tide….bummer…by that time the crew was back to dock and cleaned up.
On other news, the tuna have showed up in some of the canyons just south of Cape May, NJ. Friends caught both bluefin and yellowfin tuna! As the water continues to move in, things should only improve in the canyons.
We will be heading out offshore for tuna soon. The tackle is ready and the crew is itching to get out. We will also have some reports from the Florida Keys as some of the crew will be heading down to the keys in June for 2 weeks of fishing and diving!
